How to schedule with Your Inspector Guy

  • Discuss the home inspection process with your client. Everyone should have a home inspection!
  • Determine the types of inspections needed. Besides the general home inspection, the client’s insurance company may require a Wind Mitigation Assessment and for older homes, a Four Point inspection or Roof Certification. Their loan office may require a Wood Destroying Organism (WDO) inspection. WDO inspection and other inspections may require a specialist that may require a long lead time.
  • Determine a range of dates and times for conducting the inspections.

    • Clients’ name
    • Client’s email address
    • Clients’ phone number
    • Property address to be inspected
    • Requested inspections
    • Desired date(s) and time(s)
    • Agent (your) name
    • Agent email address

  • Other helpful information to have ready
    • Who will be attending the inspection
    • Is the property vacant?
    • Is there a lockbox we can access?
    • Is there a tenant at the property?
    • Are the utilities on?
